I received a Master Degree in Physics from the University of Perugia in 2001 and a Ph.D in Statistical Physics from the University of Camerino in 2005. After two years of scholarship with the ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energies and Sustainable Economic Development), I worked for one year at the Siena Novartis Vaccine Reaserch Center as bioinformatician.
Since 2008, until 2012, I have been working as a researcher in the Computational Epidemiology and Public Health group led by Prof. Alessandro Vespignani at ISI Foundation in Turino. Since 2012, I have the role of Research Leader in the group. Since 2008, I have coordinated the development, deployment and management of a network fo web-based platforms for influenza surveillance in Europe called Influenzanet.
